is the oakley sunglasses you find at Bahamas are they real?

Hey one of my friends who brought a pair of oakley sunglasses from the bahamas says she brought them for $10 dollars and they have the code number in them, she claims that's were the factory sends them when they mess up on pair, But are they real? and where can u buy costa del mar sunglasses from there that cheap and if not where can you? and also are the handbags real to? Thanks allot!!!!

Many fakes in the Bahamas...pretty lax on enforcement.

Those Oakleys definitely fake, as is much(OK...100% fakes) in the Straw Markets.

Designer handbags are fakes, too.

They DO have some authorized stores...like for Dooney & Bourke...a Gucci store...Versacci store.

Hoffer Sports on Bay Street sells Oakley goods.NOT for $10.But they ARE real. LOL

However...prices are pretty much same as in U.S. unless there is a sale or close-out.

Might save on sales tax...but remember that you have to declare all purchases you make when you go through Customs back home.If it is really expensive, you might owe import taxes (duty).

And ...fakes can be confiscated by U.S. Customs.Although usually not if it is a single item and for personal use only.

Oh yeah...lot of fake Cuban cigars in the Bahamas, too. And the real ones STILL can't be (legally) brought back to the States...no matter what the guy/gal tells ya. LOL

NO the are not. Oakley does not send out factory defects to wholesalers. As a matter of fact, Oakley does not sell to wholesalers at all. Oakley only sells to licensed dealers.



Some glasses may be sold as "DE" by Oakley Vault stores, but never at $10.00.



People who sell fakes commonly say that the glasses they sell are "Factory rejects". Oakley doesn't sell those. Doesn't matter if they have a code number. Google the code number- chances are the code doesn't match. Counterfeiters don't take the time to get their model numbers right.
